Uber is incentivizing riders to take the eco-friendly route on their April trips with an Earth Month discount on its Comfort Electric tier(opens in a new tab). Enter the code GOELECTRIC in the Wallet tab of the Uber app(opens in a new tab) by clicking "add promo code" and enjoy an automatic 25% off two rides in a premium electric vehicle like a Tesla, Polestar, or Ford Mustang Mach-E. Make sure to select the "Comfort Electric" option when choosing your ride.
The discount slashes up to $10 off each ride and should bring your total cost near or below the cost of the traditional UberX that most of us typically take — so there's no reason to not go electric here. You'll officially be a contributor to Uber's end goal of becoming a zero-emissions mobility platform in North America (and Europe) by 2030.
Comfort Electric isn't available everywhere, but Uber's introduction of 14 new markets for Earth Month brings the total number of participating cities to more than 40.
