The Formula One Heineken Australian Grand Prix took place in April, and GIGABYTE showed up in full force, partnering up with top modders TAGMods to create some spectacular PC builds as a part of their #BuildWithAORUS(opens in a new tab) campaign. It was the first time GIGABYTE has joined a high-profile extreme sports event like the Formula One Heineken Australian Grand Prix, and they were keen to show off the style and performance that you can achieve building or upgrading your pc with AORUS hardware.
The coolest build was probably the CarbonRev Wheel PC, which would look awesome in any gear-head or car enthusiast's home, or next to a full driving simulation rig, but there were a few other showstoppers as well. Each of the systems below was built around a GIGABYTE AORUS Z690 motherboard, with RTX 30 series graphics cards and DDR5 RAM. These all showed off the ultimate power and unprecedented gaming performance of the AORUS range of gears.
All of these custom PCs were showcased alongside the latest AORUS 4K monitors: the GIGABYTE M32U(opens in a new tab), and the AORUS FI32U(opens in a new tab). Both of these IPS displays are built for the most high-performance gaming rigs, with 1ms response time and full 4K resolution at 144Hz. If you are looking for the ultimate big-screen gaming monitor, don't miss the AORUS FO48U(opens in a new tab) that’s designed to deliver true-to-life viewing experience with its 47.53” UHD panel.
Now let’s take a look at the most impressive of these rigs in an interesting package, the CarbonRev:
CarbonRev Wheel PC
The most fitting custom build for the Formula One Heineken Australian Grand Prix, this is a seriously cool build. The red, glowing RGB fans look great under the Carbon Fiber Wheel, and it's all surrounded by a real, high performance sports tire. The CarbonRev isn’t all just about the looks though, it also contains the most high-end GIGABYTE hardware available. "The wheel is a high-performance part and we really wanted to make the PC hardware high-performance as well. Because of that we're running AORUS hardware" -TAGMods.
They weren’t kidding around with that performance label either. TAGMods managed to fit the most high-end GIGABYTE hardware available into this water-cooled wheel of power, including a GeForce RTX™ 3080 Ti MASTER Graphics Card on top of a Z690I AORUS Ultra DDR4 Motherboard. "We had to be really meticulous about the individual placement of each component to make sure that the PC held up the engineering side of the wheel. So, we took it over to our in-house engineer to 3D modeled everything in CAD to make sure every piece of hardware fit perfectly"
Specs:
Xbox Serious X PC
With Game Pass for PC, and Microsoft releasing all of its first party Xbox titles on PC on day one, the lines between Xbox gamers and PC gamers are starting to blur in the best way. Well, with this Xbox Series X inspired PC build those lines are getting blurrier. Watercooled with that signature Xbox green, it’s even better looking than the Series X itself.
Specs:
Guitar PC
This PC absolutely shreds, and is surprisingly compact for the powerful hardware that's been loaded into it, all on top of a Z690I AORUS ULTRA DDR4 Motherboard. It comes as a two-piece with a small amplifier attachment where the RGB fan lives, and as the guitar comes complete with strings and all, it’s actually functional!
Specs:
The Amity Affliction Gravestone PC
This Gravestone PC build is for the metal-heads in the PC modding community. Designed for the Australian metalcore band The Amity Affliction, this horroriffic design is fully open on the back so you can see all of the RGB goodness, and even turns on through a power button built into the skull’s left eye socket.
Specs:
Assassin's Creed All-Father Shield PC
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla took the mega-popular series in a new direction: Vikings. This Triangular build comes with a faithful recreation of the Shield of the All-Father on the front for Norse Mythology buffs. While the PC goodies are stuffed away in the base/back plate, the hardware that is in there is seriously impressive.
