Twitter

Twitter has certainly grown a lot from the days where you would send tweets via SMS text messages about what you had for breakfast. Founded in 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone, and Noah Glass, the microblogging service turned real-time social media newswire may be one of the smallest Big Tech companies, but it may very well be the most influential. With celebrities, politicians, journalists, and other verified power users breaking news via tweet threads on the platform, Twitter has become an indispensable service to find out what's happening in the world.
